چکیده

This paper presents the design of a dual-band power amplifier (PA) featuring similar performance at 28 GHz and 38 GHz. In new radio (NR) fifth generation (5G) communication system, inter-band carrier aggregation technique is commonly adopted for data rate enhancement. such configuration, operation both bands 5G frequency range 2 (FR2) spectrum often necessary. The stacked-FET topology was mitigation gain roll-off with to achieve bands. Implemented in commercial 0.15-μm gallium arsenide (GaAs) pseudomorphic high electron mobility transistor (pHEMT) technology, PA delivered small signal 18.5/18 dB, an output saturation (Psat) 28.5/28.2 dBm, peak power-added efficiency (PAE) 39%/36% 28/38 GHz, respectively. measurement results have demonstrated great potential proposed NR applications.

A Concurrent Dual-Band Low Noise Amplifier for GNSS Receivers

In this paper, a new design of concurrent dual-band Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) for multi-band single-channel Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receivers is proposed. This new structure is able to operate concurrently at frequency of 1.2 and 1.57 GHz. Parallel and series resonance parts are employed in the input matching in order to achieve concurrent performance. With respect to used pse...

A SiGe Power Amplifier with Integrated BALUNs for 81-86 GHz E-Band Backhaul Applications

The design of a two-stage differential cascode power amplifier (PA) for 81-86 GHz E-band applications is presented. The PA was realised in SiGe technology with fT/fmax 170/250 GHz. A broadband transformer with efficiency higher than 79.4% from 71 GHz to 96 GHz is used as a BALUN. The PA delivers a 4.5 dBm saturated output power and exhibits a 13.4 dB gain at 83.6 GHz. The input and output retur...

A 2-12 GHz Low Noise Amplifier Design for Ultra Wide Band Applications

Problem statement: The Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) is a core block of an Ultra Wide Band (UWB) receiver since it amplifies a very weak signal received at the antenna to acceptable levels while introducing less self-generated noise and distortions. The LNA design poses a unique challenge as it requires simultaneous optimization of various performance parameters like power gain, input matching, noi...
